September 11: A survey of Microsoft Bloggers
As a follow up to Paul last post, I'm linking to a guy who gives the results of a survey into Microsoft bloggers. There are some results in there that I didn't expect.
Less than 10% of Microsoft employees blog, either corp or private.
I assumed that figure was much higher, still, I guess they do have 57,000 employees. It would be interesting to see a company that had over 50% bloggers, I wonder how long it will take for that to happen (although I guess that Salted are technically 100% bloggers), perhaps I should rephrase the question as "How long will it take for the first listed (or large?) company to be over 50% bloggers?"

Those stats are interesting. Re your question, I don't think an arbitary number like 50% is the right thing to look at. What I'd like to know is whether at least one member of each team is blogging. That way people outside the company can follow what's being developed, which is the overall purpose. Additional bloggers would be a bonus I guess, but that would be the metric I'd want to know.
